Erica Neumann

Erica Neumann graduated from the Ontario College of Fine Art program, and has been pursuing art professionaly ever since. Passionate about teaching the fundamentals in any art medium, she believes a good knowledge of the design elements and techniques particular to each medium will help anyone communicate their ideas successfully. Her work can be seen at the Whyte Museum in Banff, and Sunny Raven Gallery, Canmore.

Featuring the Work of Erica Neumann

The Whyte Museum LogoJoin the Whyte Museum in welcoming long-time Bow Valley artist Erica Neumann in this opening of her Art Show & Sale.

Opening Reception Saturday April 4, 2009, 2 – 4 pm, Artist in Attendance

The wildlife, landscape, and floral artwork of Erica Neumann will be featured by the Museum Shop and on display in the Swiss Guides Room. As a long-time resident of the Bow Valley, now residing in Okotoks, much of Erica’s work is dedicated to the Rockies and Western Canadian wildlife. Each image carries with it not only a strong tie to nature, but also a specific story about a time and place captured permanently in Erica’s painterly images. Learn More

All proceeds from the sale of these works will support the artist, and the Whyte Museum’s exhibitions and programming.

Painting on The Wild Side – With Artist, Erica Neumann

Join Erica by the Bow River for a full day of en plein air painting on Saturday, May 16. This acrylic workshop, from 9 AM to 4 PM, is designed for those familiar with painting, who are hunting for new techniques to incorporate into their work. The morning will be spent studying new techniques with a focus on loose brushwork, and the afternoon painting with instructor guidance. Please pack a picnic for lunch along the Bow River. A minimum of 8 participants are needed for this workshop to go ahead; maximum 12 participants. You must pre-register with the Museum’s Front Desk, call 403-762-2291, ext. 300.  $95 per person* (Members $85) *fee does not include painting supplies – supply list provided.
