A couple years ago I went on a hiatus to raise my two children. I pulled away from doing shows and commissions. During that time I changed paths artistically. I rediscovered the artwork of John Singer Sargent and discovered the work of Jeremy Lipking and Richard Schmid. I travelled to California to spend some time with Jeremy and learn from him. I have also spent time with Richard Schmid. Upon returning to the studio I promptly locked the door and began an intensive education. My goals are to be able to sit down in front of anything and faithfully capture my subject. I enjoy plein air painting. I get out to the mountains to paint and hike as often as I can. I currently hold the rank of Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) in Aikido. I am one of the main Instructors at Calgary Aikikai. Currently teaching:{Monthly Adult Classes}
