Swinton's Art Supply and Instruction

Art Workshops

Unlike the on going classes we have at swinton's, workshops are designed for a more condensed learning over a short period. They can be anything from the same instructional material in the regular class, to specialized topics that get longer attention given to them. Designed for people who have less time or want to learn even more.

Drawing for Painters

How to make a sketch for a painting, then take that sketch and create the painting.

Most of the problems in a painting occur in the first five minutes. They just don't rear there heads until well into the painting when it's too late to fix.

This class is not really a how to draw class. It's more of a learning how sort out my ideas on paper before I paint class. You don't need to know how to draw to be able to paint. You do need to be able to design to be able to paint.

I will show you how to design your painting right from the start. Composition from design to placement of your objects perspective, ground planes and buildings to getting your clouds right.

Start off right and see how easily the rest fall into place.
