Date & Time: Saturday, November 4, 2023 10:00 am – 2:00 pm Media: Mixed-Media & Faux Encaustic Instructor: Ashley Gaboury (Golden Educator) Level: Beginner to Advanced Adults / Teens Welcome! Delve into Mixed Media, including Collage and Image Transfer techniques. Utilize acrylics to create a myriad of Mixed Media and Encaustic-like effects. Artists are compelled by texture, but there are many to choose from and various techniques to use effectively. Join GOLDEN Artist Educator Ashley Gaboury as she guides you in exploring the versatility of acrylics using Mediums, Gels and Pastes. This session will focus on utilizing and understanding different products, techniques, and tools. Ashley will demonstrate, give you the opportunity to try out the products and answer questions during this mini workshop. Students are encouraged to bring 4”x 6” printed images or drawings they’d like to transfer. Some supplies are included. Teens and adults are welcome. Beginners welcome. We will take a short break for lunch :) Supply List: o Canvases or Canvas boards – qty 3 – 8” x 8” or 8” x 10” o Palette paper pad – 9” x 12” o Paper Towel – Blue ones work best! o Palette Knife - Flat-angled palette and painting knife Paints, mediums, brushes and additional supplies are included.
