Date & Time: Six Week Course! April 1 - May 13, 2025 (No class on April 22 for Easter long weekend) Every Tuesday 6:00-8:00 PM Location: 7160 Fisher St. SE. Calgary. (Swinton's Art Supplies) Instructor: Ashley Gaboury Medium: Drawing, Colouring & Charcoal. Ages 8-18 Let’s take imagination in art to new heights… If you’re the type of student who loves to draw or colour fantasy characters, creatures or places then this workshop is the perfect spot to take your time and focus on your craft. Ashley Gaboury has a full class plan to teach each student the next steps to put their imagination on the paper and bring it more to life. Each student also gets one-on-one instruction when creating to guide them in the right direction. Teen Drawing: Explore realistic and imaginative drawing styles while using mediums from graphite and charcoal to soft coloured pencils and artists’ quality markers. This series is ideal for developing skills and building a dynamic portfolio. Sessions can be repeated as Ashley will work with each student at their skill level and help them to grow their unique style while using the elements and principles of art and design. Each course will focus on various subjects including animals, portraits, figure drawing/character design, fantasy, and open projects. In this session, we will develop imagination, colour theory and animal anatomy knowledge to bring fantasy creature and character design skills to the next level. Please see the supply list provided.
