Date & Time: May 4, 2024 (Saturday) 10:00 - 3:00 pm Medium: Acrylics Level: Some experience with acrylics is required Instructor: Samantha Williams-Chapelsky Using Golden Coarse Molding Paste and Golden Fluid Acrylics, learn how to incorporate texture to evoke a simple yet dramatic landscape. In this 1-day workshop showcasing Golden Coarse Molding Paste as a fabulous texture for creating unique and refined acrylic paintings, local artist Samantha Williams-Chapelsky will be your guide as you create your very own luscious landscape on 16 x 20” panel. You will learn about composition, color mixing, adding paste into acrylic paint, as well as application and finishing techniques. For this class, students will be provided with a reference photo to work from. Supply List: 5" x 5" or 5" x 7" canvas panel or birch panel ( this will be for the study) 16" x 16" or 16" x 20" panel support 8oz Golden Coarse Molding Paste Golden Fluid Acrylics - 1 fl oz. Titanium White, Nickel Azo Yellow, Phthalo Blue and Quin Red (some additional samples will be provided) Palette Knife - metal - assorted Palette Paper Paper Towels
