Working in oil or acrylic, you’ll create paintings inspired by prairies, foothills, and seascapes while learning how to build strong compositions and create a natural sense of depth and atmosphere. Jonn works in oils, using layers and glazes to create luminous colour and light. A fun and light approach to working with soapstone stone. You will carve your own piece of stone while Vance guides you through the process of shaping, carving and polishing, helping solve the challenges you encounter at each phase. Bring your own image and discover how to transform it into a layered mixed-media artwork using gel plate printing and image transfer. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to refine and prepare your image for transfer, then use a Gelli Plate to create multiple printed backgrounds using colour, shape, pattern, texture, and layers.
