Erica Neumann's Profile Picture.

I’m based near the majestic mountains of Alberta, where I find endless inspiration in the rugged landscapes and the creatures that call them home. I aim to capture the beauty and diversity of our wild spaces through my paintings, with the hope that they provide you with a personal connection to nature in your daily life.

As a classically trained artist, I’ve honed my skills and learned the importance of design fundamentals and colour theory while studying fine art at the Ontario College of Art and Design. I’ve also obtained a diploma in interior design, which allows me to create paintings while considering them in the context of potential spaces, such as above a fireplace mantel.

My style is bold, abstract, and full of life. Animals especially inspire me, and I strive to capture their spirit and essence in my paintings. My unique approach to painting bears has earned me recognition from admirers and fellow artists alike.

My paintings have been featured in museums and galleries across Western Canada and the United States, including the prestigious Hockaday Museum’s exhibition “A Timeless Legacy: Peace Park 2018”. I’ve also participated in public installations and been published in books and magazines such as Home and Garden.

But it’s not just about the recognition for me. I’m passionate about giving back, and I support charities like UNICEF Water for Life and the Alberta Institute for Wildlife Conservation. I believe in using my art to make a positive impact on the world.
