Nathalie has loved art for as long as she can remember, (from 2-3 years old) creating at her little red art table. To now, painting and drawing in her home studio. She's really passionate about portraits and loves to capture the likeness and essence of a person in her art. She also really loves colourful images and looks for that in her inspirational photos. Her goal is to capture those special moments in her artwork so that the viewer can feel that energy too. Nathalie works in pastel pencils, oil and acrylic paint. She also enjoys collages and mixed media.

I began my adult art journey by taking classes at Swinton's in early 2014. There, with the guidance of two instructors, I improved my drawing skills and learned how to paint - first in acrylic and then in oil. Over the years I have taken workshops to hone my craft and learn new skills. It's always good to be that perpetual student, even if you have your style figured out. I think continuing to grow is always beneficial for any art student. My artwork has been featured in New York Times Square three times! It was very surreal and I still pinch myself that it happened. (Check out the image below). I am a convention vendor and have sold many prints of my portrait drawings/paintings. My art is on display in many homes around the world!
After 10 years of instruction at Swinton's and a lifetime of doing art, I'm ready to help YOU with your artistic journey/next project. As a former personal trainer, I'm an excellent coach and motivator and I am so excited to teach you in one of my classes! I think that I bring a positive energy and will foster a sense of artistic community within my classroom . I want everyone to feel welcome no matter your experience or ability. My goal is to give each student the artistic tools and guidance that they need and to instill confidence so that they can carry out their own artistic vision.
