In this class, we'll explore the serene charm of birch trees and learn how to capture their elegance on canvas. Simplicity is key! Dive into the fundamentals of watercolour painting, including washes, layering, blending, and lifting, to achieve stunning, translucent effects that capture the beauty of nature. Supply List: Watercolour paper: Cold Press - 140lb/300gsm (Acid Free - preferably 100% Cotton) Size: 6 x 12” Watercolour Paints: - Prussian Blue - Burnt Umber - Sepia Watercolour Brushes: - Round or Long Round size 12/10 & 8/6 - Flat for washing the paper 3/4 or larger - Rigger/Liner Size 4 Extras: - A board to mount your paper on, - Masking tape, - Watercolour palette, - Paper towel/cloth, - Water containers, - Drawing pencil and a - Gummed eraser.
