Watch as Cheryl Peddie captures the colour, light, and life of a real bouquet on canvas. Date & Time: Friday, May 1, 6:00 - 8:30 pm (Demo Night - Food & Drinks Included) Location: 7160 Fisher St SE, Calgary. (Swinton's Art Supplies) Artist: Cheryl Peddie Artist Medium: Oil Painting Food & Drinks Included! Seating available for everyone. (No supplies needed.) Come to Swinton's for a live oil painting demonstration, where you’ll witness Cheryl Peddie work her magic in real-time, brushstroke by brushstroke, bringing reality and impressionism to life from a Bouquet of flowers. Special note: This workshop is also a fundraiser for the Discovery House Family Violence Prevention Society in Calgary, AB, in remembrance of Cheryl’s sister, Tanice Roberts. Tanice and her faithful dog, Gus, were killed in an act of domestic homicide by her ex-husband in 2023. To honour Tanice’s memory, Cheryl will be donating all her teaching proceeds, and half of her painting sales from this workshop to Discovery House. Swinton's will also be donating half of the ticket sales from the demo and workshop. We welcome you to donate new and gently used clothing (for the Women in Need Society), and new toiletries for Discovery House. Card donations are welcome before the event through the donation form found at "Checkout" or on our "Art Workshops" page. Cash donations are welcome during the event. 100% of donations minus processing fees will go to the Discovery House.
