Date & Time: Saturday, November 7, 2026 10:00 am - 2:00 pm Instructor: Ashley Gaboury Level: Beginners - Intermediates Location: 7160 Fisher St SE, Calgary (Swinton's Art Supplies) Teens & Adults welcome! Explore the magic of Printmaking! Relief printmaking is the oldest and one of the most accessible types of printmaking. It is a type of art that utilizes the ability to create multiple copies of a unique design. During this workshop, participants will create their own prints as Ashley Gaboury leads them through the basic steps of carving, inking, and registering prints. They will learn take-home techniques for both relief printmaking and creating monotypes. Students are encouraged to bring 4”x 6” printed images or drawings they’d like to print. We will be using Speedy-Carve blocks and water-based media. Some supplies are included. Teens and adults are welcome. Beginners welcome. Supply List: · Printmaking paper pad (ask Swinton’s staff) 9”x 12” · Palette paper pad · Speedy Carve - 2 small blocks approx. 4"x 6" · Students can cut 1 larger block into approx. 4”x 6” blocks if needed ·Studio tools, sample papers, paints, and additional supplies included
