One of the oldest drawing techniques from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance! Explore the delicate and precise art of metalpoint. Where silver, gold, copper, and other metals are used to draw on specially prepared surfaces. Learn how to prepare your own ground, handle metalpoint tools, and create luminous, archival-quality drawings. No prior experience needed—just a love of drawing and curiosity for timeless techniques. What's included: - 2 Metalpoint surfaces (1 paper and 1 thin panel with chalk gesso) - Silverpoint stylus Supply list for students to bring: - 2H pencil and sharpener - Kneadable eraser - 11x14” MDF or wood board / Similar to tape your paper on. - Masking tape
